During his presidency SABR reached record
membership levels, held the line on dues increases, first
move to the internet (sabr.org and SABR-L),
undertook new merchandising initiatives, instituted its
ongoing donors program as well as its endowment
fund, first visited Latin America, produced SABR
Presents the Home Run Encyclopedia (Macmillan) and
published The Negro Leagues Book.
As secretary he co-sponsored SABR's special dues
rates for younger members.
